How To Get Help

You must live in Hernando or Nesbit, MS, and meet certain financial criteria to qualify for help from the Hernando/Nesbit Interfaith Council on Poverty.

To apply for Interfaith services, bring the following to the Catholic Social Services office at 499 E. Commerce St. in Hernando, MS:

♦ Proof of income: ex. pay stub, benefits letter (social security, SSI, TANF, SNAP)

♦ Proof of residency: ex. lease, utility bill

♦ Picture ID: ex. driver’s license, work ID

♦ Social Security cards for all household members

Hours: M-W-F 9-3 (closed for lunch from 12-1)

For food pantry voucher, come from 9-12

No appointment necessary

For further questions on getting a voucher for the food pantry (available no more than once a month) or qualifying for other Interfaith services, contact the Catholic Social Services office in Hernando.
