The Interfaith food pantry operates year round. Recipients must first apply for a voucher at the Hernando Catholic Social Services Office.
The food pantry is stocked by member churches and by donations from generous individuals, non-member churches, businesses and organizations throughout our community. Each month, volunteers also travel to Jackson to pick up USDA food from Mississippi Food Network and to Memphis to purchase discounted food from the Mid-South Food Bank.
Small individual packages are best as we cannot repackage "bulk" items.
We cannot hand out food that is past its expiration date.
Here's a list of staple items at the food pantry. We always appreciate any kind of non-perishable food donations, no matter what they are. Thanks!
