How To Help

We take donations large and small of non-perishable foods. Small individual packages are best as we cannot repackage "bulk" items. We cannot hand out food that is past its expiration date.

Kroger Community Rewards Program will now make donations to Interfaith on your behalf. Visit http://www.kroger.com.

  • Once logged into your Kroger account you can search for Hernando/Nesbit Interfaith Council on Poverty either by name or id "VP287" and then click Enroll.
  • You must have a Kroger online account which requires some basic information when you set it up, a valid email address and a rewards card.
  • For in-store purchases, you must swipe your registered Kroger rewards card or use the phone number related to your Kroger rewards card when shopping for each purchase to count.
  • For online purchases, just make sure your rewards card is associated with your online account.

We love food drives! Consider having your school, class, youth group, Scout troop, workplace, or other group or organization conduct a food drive any time of the year. Please contact Roxanne McIngvale at 901-647-6655 or roxannebmc@yahoo.com to discuss a donation drop-off or your organization's community service ideas.

You can also help by participating in our special event fundraisers, Flock around the Block and Empty Bowls Project.

If you’d like to volunteer to distribute food through the food pantry, contact contact Teri Byrum at 901-277-1261. Volunteers from member churches work a set schedule each month.

To volunteer at upcoming projects or for special needs, contact Roxanne McIngvale at 901-647-6655 or roxannebmc@yahoo.com.

Of course, we’ll take monetary donations at any time.
